Meet Our Little Friends!

 Kataluna Horse Rescue specifically focuses on freedom from feedlots and auction yards, however never turns our back on animals in need!

These critters were brought to our attention during the rescue mission of one of our other miniature horses, Lucky. They were on the same farm as Lucky and were in desperate need of saving.

In the barn there were three stalls with different animals. Stall number one had three small Juliana pigs and a small goat, stall number two had three bigger male goats, and stall number three had two larger Kune Kune Juliana pig mixes. All eight of these animals had been living in horrific amounts of feces and without proper food and water for who knows how long. Unfortunately upon our arrival one of the male goats was already too far gone, he was clearly very ill and had been laying down unable to get up for several hours. We made the call to end his suffering and humanely euthanize him. The caretaker released all ownership of these animals and we went right into finding immediate loving homes. These poor animals were all covered in mange and muck and needed serious amounts of care. Thanks to some amazing people and the work of social media, we were able to find all of them homes within a very short period of time and they are all doing fantastic now living happy healthy lives!
