Keane

Keane is a 17hh, coming six year old thoroughbred gelding who traveled a long way to get to our farm. He is a bit different than most of the rescues we take in as he was not from a kill pen or auction yard and has not had any history of abuse or neglect. Keane’s case was a bit odd and we are still trying to figure out some of the loose ends, but from what we know so far, he was born and raised in Florida until he moved to California when he was around 3 to begin his training under saddle to be a hunter jumper. We were contacted by Keanes owners through a friend of a friend who explained to me he was not fitting in for multiple reasons, and was in urgent need to find him a new home. We were told he has a history of bucking under saddle and they could not figure out why, and with concern that he would end up in a rough spot they asked to send him here to help him find his right family.

Keane has since been adopted in February 2022 to the most wonderful home who spoils him to no end!
