Freya

Freya is a 15 year old, fully blind, miniature mare who came to Kataluna in May 2021. Freya has had a bit of a rough start in her life. We rescued her from a feedlot in Texas where we learned she was separated from her foal before being dropped off at the lot, she was very skittish and under nourished. We were told by the lot she had partial vision left, however when she arrived at Kataluna and had her vet checked, we were informed she is 100% fully blind. This doesn’t stop Freya from living her best life, she has since bonded with our two minis and follows them all around the pasture, is up-to-date on all vaccines, worming, teeth floating, and farrier work! Freya is really blossoming into such a sweet girl and found her forever loving home end of 2021!
