Meet Bud!

Bud came to our rescue from the Sunnyside Feedlot in Washington State, November of 2018. Social media does wondrous things for people and animals. The feedlots Facebook page, which is run by volunteers who post about the horses on the lot to try and help them get another chance, is where we stumbled across Bud! For some reason he seemed to really grab our attention, we began sharing about him on our social media to see what we could do to save him (as we were settling in the beginning stages of creating the rescue), People were very generous in helping spread the word, and finally, after few days we were anonymously contacted by an incredible woman who offered to donate the fee to bail him out as well as donate the payments to keep him there daily until we could arrange for him to be picked up. Obviously, that was an offer we needed to jump on! Since then, Bud has been through approved quarantine, and is loving his life on the ranch. Bud actually bonded quite strongly to Luna and has helped her through tough times with her health. He has grown to become a big part in Kataluna and as of the new year was officially declared adopted by Katie herself, bringing him into family for good.
